Through various events and NEXT resources, Vision Source assists students as they begin their private practice journey. This past weekend NEXT attended The Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLN) meeting in Nashville, TN.
Each of the optometry schools sends two delegates each summer for a meeting where student leaders come together to learn more about opportunities in private practice, the state of the industry and develop their leadership skills, in order to take their knowledge back to their private practice clubs at each of their campuses.
Last week, Vision Source sponsored a very special Keynote Speaker for the meeting and hosted a practice crawl with a local office.
We want to thank Platinum-selling recording artist, Doug Brown, for attending last week's meeting. Brown, who is a songwriter & producer from Nashville, TN, was the lead singer in the pop/rock band SAFETYSUIT, along with being a songwriter for Sony Music Publishing. His songs have amassed hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. Doug helped attendees learn and EXPERIENCE the art of Fearless Collaboration. As he shared stories about working together with his band and other artists he walked attendees at SOLN through the process of writing a song. As a result here is the song that attendees helped to write during the session!
Vision Source also shared more information with students about the Vision Source NEXT Program including the launch of the tuition forgiveness program through members looking to hire an associate. If you have an associate position open, make sure you post it on Insight here so potential candidates can find you.
