There is an energy that you can feel every time Vision Source members get together. A strong sense of community elevates our entire organization and the profession. We strive to create opportunities for our members to get to know colleagues who can guide one another, give confidence with making tough decisions, and earn trust in one another's insights.
This issue of the NEXT Newsletter is dedicated to building a sense of "community." You will hear from Chad Said, a fourth year optometry student who took time from preparing for Boards to share his experience on how to reach out to others who have been there and how to ask for help. Dr. Jannell Kassel gives advice on finding the right community to build your practice and your career. Her lessons teach the value of thinking about what you want before you start your journey.
You'll also hear from our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Amir Khoshnevis, who reveals his long-standing passion for mentorship relations and the value it as brought him through the years. Craig Moritz, our Director of Strategic Programs, uses his years of experience working with both doctors and students to deliver a helpful article on the value of developing mentorships.
The first issue of the NEXT Newsletter was a big hit, according to our open and click rates. We are excited about the willingness for subscribers to learn more about what Vision Source is offering to our members, the industry, and all of optometry. Our mission is to tell the Vision Source story from the perspective of the Vision Source family.
Moving forward, we will make it easier to read the articles by not requiring log-ins to see the rest of the story. It will be unusual for you to have to use your login to the website to have access to our content.
