This practice was founded by Dr. Timothy Fox in 1982 and purchased by Dr. Mary Chase in 2021, so it is a long-established and trusted partner in the community. As the only optometry practice in town, it serves a wide patient base with the majority being patients over 40 years old.

Located about 10 minutes from Oak Ridge and 20+ minutes outside Knoxville, it is easily accessible to patients from various counties (Anderson, Roane, Morgan, Knox).

Upon taking over all patient care for Dr. Fox in 2020, Dr. Chase has grown this part-time practice from 300K annual gross revenue to 450k+ and modernized the practice by adding electronic health records and various equipment purchased within the last 5 years:

• Fundus Photography
• Humphrey Visual Field
• iCare Tonometry
• Antares Anterior Segment Suite
• OptiLight IPL.

We also moved from a single exam lane location to a larger space with now 3 exam lanes and a technology room. The practice is growing into the dry eye sector and specialty contact lenses.

We are around 70% comprehensive exams, 30% medical (glaucoma, dry eye, emergency care,etc) and do have multiple relationships with great ophthalmology referral centers nearby to manage surgical cases.

We are currently leasing the clinic building, but the landlord is very open to selling the building if desired.

We do have a part-time associate doctor and are currently closed on Thursdays, so we practice about 3.5 to 4 "doctor days" total in the week. We are slower paced and very hands-on with patients, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to build deep and lasting patient relationships.

Our full scale optical has a 70+% capture rate and very experienced staff members of over 20 years in eyecare each, so there is tremendous opportunity and staff in place to grow this practice and add more days!

Located in the mountains of East TN, this area is the perfect place for nature lovers. Oliver Springs itself sits at the gateway to Windrock Mountain ATV park AND is close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

You can also live in West Knoxville/Farragut/Turkey Creek/Hardin Valley if you’re wanting to be in the metro area with just a short commute less than 30 minutes. If you're looking for that small-town practice feel with patients that become family, this is the place for you! With a large staff/break area in the back, it has also been a great place to bring the kids/growing family.

Dr. Chase has absolutely loved her time here at the practice but is needing to relocate to the Chattanooga area at the end of 2026/early 2027 due to her husband's job; she is willing to stay on part-time to help with practice transition though.
